Was Michael Jackson’s Billie Jean–the one who was not his lover–the same one from Bobby’s Mexicali Blues, the one was fresh in town and told him that he’d have no one but himself to blame? Almost certainly not.  I’m comfortable with just “certainly not.” No need to modify.
