Faith is complete trust in someone or something. Whom or what do you trust? It’s all there in the Scriptures. You’re a dirty rotten filthy sinner just like me. Salvation is the Gift of God, its not of works- lest any of us proud scumbags should boast. The finished work of the Jewish Messiah Yeshua just makes too much sense for most to hold I guess.
