Well, I now officially hate Led Zeppelin. Kind of hated em all along, but they’re now locked in. My college roommate always told the story of being picked up in the English countryside while hitchhiking, by the bands manager, the one who found Bonham dead, or took him to breakfast when he drank all the vodka. It happened just that morning and the manager was crying relating the story. My roommate being the consummate Zep fan had hitched out trying to find one of their homes, walk up knock on the door and meet them. It was his most interesting story and I believe it’s true because the timeline checks out. It also showed the human side to Zep, that and Plant’s son dying.
What I’ve learned from your research was that they were toxic. That makes a lot of sense. And at this point in my life I will not separate art from artist. If you were/are an asshole, who has zero compassion for your fellow man then fuck you, and fuck your art. Fuck Bonham especially.
