Are you familiar with the bootleg song “The Devil Went Down To Jamaica,” supposedly Charlie Daniels singing different lyrics? (It certainly sounds like him). A different take on the song.
Ok, google is telling me it is David Allen Coe, but the version I heard sounded like the CDB.
used to sing “devil went down to Jamaica” down in the hills of Athens County. had only heard actual song a couple times but I think it’s neither CDB or David Allen Coe but may be wrong. also i always thought Marshall Tucker Band did “Fire on the Mountain” …
