Musings on the Most Ridiculous Band I Can't Stop Listening To

For The Dead

The world loves making dead soldiers.
In highlands,
Or fields,
And beaches,
And valleys,
And passes,
And forests,
And jungles,
And mountains,
And deserts,
And numbered, nicknamed hills.

The world made dead soldiers atop a glacier once;
people said it couldn’t be done.

The world won’t stop making dead soldiers,
But no one does anything about it.
Someone should.

We must consider the military option.

When my Grandpa was 17 he was a runner (messenger) in the trenches of WW1……at 17 I was a stoner following the Grateful Dead.

Little dude on the right caressing that gentleman’s hand.

          A runner in WWI. Jesus.

And, yeah: that can only be described as a caress.

Like many soldiers he never spoke a word about it…. The war or the caress.

That’s great! Bloody awful what they put those kids through.

yeah, it says on the back: Penalty For Misuse $500 fine or 6 months imprisonment. the story was returning soldiers would give the service pin to men on the way out…..say “don’t go”. before the World Wide Web, you see. probably some caresses involved in that transaction/negotiation.
