Ok man , I briefly tried to research your site but remember the post with the fantastic Truckin at the end of the set? where you said any other band that pkayed the song this way would play it that way forever, anyway is that one the new Dave’s pick 26 11/6/77? Obviously chosen because of your apt review of Truckin, it’s true I think they just forgot by dec77 their next shows how good that ending was.

I’ve read this for years. I’ve been VERY careful not to introduce my wife to it. I know better.
I’m like Tor, my wife thinks it’s dumb and that I’m dumb for reading it out loud to her. Kinda wishing I was as smart as Jim.
My wife doesn’t even get the D, like, at all. So introducing her to TotD is right out. When a post makes me laugh (usually Pigpen – we can always do with more Pigpen, hint hint), I have to decide if it’s worth the 20 minute explanation required to get her up to speed. Opting against that has never, ever served me wrong.
My wife wouldn’t get it; hell, I don’t get it half the time. I do occasionally feed her synopsized versions of choice Thoughts. She did appreciate the Paul Ryan Libertarian 911 gag for example.
i would say that he enjoys it, but not enough. i try to share only the ones that i know he will get and enjoy.
I used to try to share ToTD with my wife but I have since decided that I want him all to myself.
