I sampled them briefly, years ago, and was immediately struck by how shallow their songwriting was, compared to Jerry and Hunter. Nothing there with staying power. And their first lead guitarist was really lame. Threw away the disks, and deleted all that shit from my hard drive.
I honestly do not like “jam bands” but WSP is the least worst of them. I think moe is where we really need to get organized and help put an end to whatever jam-lite shit it is they’re pedaling.
There is NOTHING like a Grateful Dead concert….and never will be.
WSP was good if you were Right Down Front. Right Down Front; maybe that means that they are lame overall.
