Jaco on bass.
Aynsley Dunbar on drums.
David Sanborn on sax.
Freddie, Brian, and Roger from Queen doing the backing vocals.
Billie Eilish has not heard of any of these people.
(EDITOR’S NOTE: The lovely chaps at Omnibus Press have sent me copies of Ian Hunter’s Diary of a Rock Star and Ian Hunter’s biography Rock ‘n’ Roll Sweepstakes by Campbell Devine, so it’s gonna be both Mottesque and Hooplish around here for a while. You’re free to wander off and check back in a couple days; I wont hold it against you.)

only men at omnibus?
No, I’m just sexist.
great.
One of the best moments of my life was watching stunned and joyous as Bill Graham dressed as an American eagle flew across the length of the Oakland Auditorium while All the Young Dudes blared. Then he landed on stage and flipped the stars and stripes shield over to reveal a Steal Your Face, and the crowd went nuts and the balloons came down and band broke into Touch of Grey and it was so perfect I might cry just thinking about it. So Mott the Hoople all you want.
that is one of the nicest things i have read. i may have gotten a tiny bit tearsy.
