not lucky anymore.
I’m seeing nothing but great how Tom Petty was. It’s been uncomfortable because how I understand the guy. My wife, in her job, has to deal with celebrities, politicians, all manner of public figures. Tom Petty was on the “A” list, as in asshole, TWICE. Both times she had to try to deal with his complaints, he was rude, aggressive and arrogant. He also wanted to be given things for free, that he hadn’t paid for, that everyone else has to pay for. Including other celebrities. So I suppose that makes him cheap, too.
That’s how I remember him. Irony is, she was a huge Tom Petty fan until her dealings with him.
Never meet your heroes. Or people who aren’t your heroes, but whom you admire or enjoy. Or people you don’t like. Never meet anyone, I guess is my point.
