What the fuck, dude?
There comes a time in all men’s lives when the call must go out: Get me Paul Rodgers.
No.
All the greats have done it.
At low moments which they later regretted.
I have no regrets. Edith Piaf envies my lack of regret. I don’t even gret, let alone regret.
Stop typing.
This is the Preface to Thoughts on Bad Co, isn’t it?
Woo hoo!!
To the best of my knowledge, my understanding is that Bad Company has now transformed into BadCorp-LLC. Just trying for accuracy, y’ know.
Yes, that is correct.
The entity’s full name for contractual purposes is BadCorp-LLC, an official trademark of Cloven Hoof Enterprises LLC, a subsidiary of Satan Lunchmeats Corp., a joint venture of Oscar Meyer, Inc. and Pope Pius XII Famous Brands GMBH.
I was just using the “doing business as” name.
This is part of my Rock and Roll Fantasy.
I think it is part of all Rock and Roll Fantasies.
Yer a Straight Shooter, Tor . . .
The short lived Page and Plant immitater David Coverdale project was a dispiriting event as well, but I digress
Great to see Corry checking in again!
Can we talk about the outfits, because I am pretty sure there is an Adam Ant connection.
There is always an Adam Ant connection, at least with regards to trousers, jackets and scarfs.
Boy that guitar player in Russo’s band loves his scarfs. Yes he does!!
You mean Paul Prudhomme ?
Someone should have told jimmy way back in the day that sometimes when you sell your soul to the devil, he claims it when you’re still alive. Also, John Paul Jones is the most underrated rock star of all time.
Yessir in re JPJ. Team Jones here, for sure.
It was a team effort. The way Bonham & Jones played of each other was splendid! And the devil wasn’t there. It was hard work and talent! Page was simply a conductor. He allowed the others to shine. (Dude was astute!)
I’d like these reels to be remastered in a way that other bands from the old taping not being done. So over produced. Don’t clean it up! Leave it a hot mess. Just clean it up, sharpen the knife so I can cut into the meat.
Sorry, when I typed “the devil” I meant Peter Grant.
Let’s discuss for a moment, shall we, the intensity of the 80s in this video and production. The hair on the bassist – perfect. The footwear masquerading as boots. The sound stage fog/smoke. And the towering drum riser. There could have been a Bruce Willis “Christmas movie” filmed in that riser.
And the double necked guitar. Nothing more boner rousing than a double necked guitar in the hands of a legend, who made double necked guitars legendary.
