Misty put out the best rock single of the last ten years. Also a total dickhole, so agreed.
Caught him live last year. A competent show, but weird experience that boiled down to hours of me standing there thinking “I think this guy’s an ass, but not sure yet.” Still am not.

My first instinct is to say Devo.
But they almost fall into the great at first not so great later category.. and I don’t think that is what you are looking for.
