“Hey, uh, guys? Did we forget something?”
“We’ve got our soft-soled hippie shoes.”
“And our enormous guitars.”
“Sure, right, yeah, uh-huh. But, uh, aren’t there usually people in the seats?”
…
“Goddammit, we forgot to sell tickets.”
“Let’s blame Mickey.”
“He doesn’t join the band for two weeks, Lesh.”
“I don’t give a shit. I say this is Mickey’s fault.”
Hollywood bowl! In the 60s? I didn’t know that!
Btw ready for thoughts on the mats when you are.
That could very well be September 15, 1967.
Actually the Bowl, for pretty much any act, has an open-to-the-public, free soundcheck. Keep that in mind for when you get access to the time sheath.
Couple other points:
-the soft sole hippy shoes are rad. Gotta get me a pair.
-Phil is anxiously awaiting the invention of the longer bass strap. Come 74 (GD movie) he’ll have the super plush sheep’s wool padded deal.
