    OOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

I’m sorry to be blowing up the Comment Section with posts all on my own, but I LOOOOOVE Reverend James, and have since I was a little Carolina chiddler, and I used to listen to him on the little in-ear transistor radio my grandfather gave me on one of the few AM stations that came in consistently and clearly where we lived. I’ve actually got a ton of his stuff on the various iPods I use these days too. I usually do that when things are feeling tough. It does help, and he’s fun to sing along with. (Along with a bunch of other Gospel stuff I like). I can recommend a playlist if you want.

My all-time fave of his is “Wondering,” which is also timely right now . . . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sakGShSWySA

I do believe we need a Jesus playlist; yes, please.

And if you just want to get deep into Reverand James, my current playlist of him alone is:

        Who Will Answer
        Meeting Tonight
        One More Time
        Plenty Good Room
        No Cross, No Crown
        Wondering
        There Is No Greater Love
        Peace Be Still
        Old Time Religion
        Lord Do It
        Get Right Church
        Pray When Things Go Wrong
        You’ll Never Walk Alone
        Old Ship of Zion
        Deep River
God Can Go Anything But Fail
        Something’s Got Ahold of Me
Can’t Nobody Do Me Like Jesus

I have no idea what of this is available on Youtube or Spotify, and so much of this stuff is released over and over again in various versions . . . but it’ll get you going.

        Pope Francis, he’ll-a be-a proud!!

Ya ever hear Shirley Caesar doing ‘gotta serve somebody’ on the gospel songs of bob Dylan CD? It’s great. https://open.spotify.com/track/5vkiWFw58VrwqEdNuYuBsD?si=akoR6dbARmuL_xw6qtTPwA

She’s just dynamite . . . this is my fave of hers:

Unbelievable singing, and a song just builds and builds and builds, no release, never. She was in The Caravans too, recommended above.

If you wanted to rally the Enthusiasts for a Jesus Night Live Stream Party, Aretha’s “Amazing Grace” documentary could be a dynamite choice, with plenty Reverend James . . .

      This was phenomenal.

One more Reverend James thing . . . this was one of the very first records I owned:

    https://www.discogs.com/James-Cleveland-Sings-Songs-Of-Dedication/master/1134707

I played it to pieces as a kid, but I have never seen a digital version of it as an adult, and even some of the songs have been impossible to find.

Just putting it out there, if other Enthusiasts have resources, namsain?
