Worth noting the young & handsome band in the film isn’t the same one that recorded the song – Mick Taylor was gone and Woody was in. Plus, I think ToTD is hyperbolic about this song: it has a groove, and that lyric that you highlighted is epic, but that’s about it. The Stones are better than many, but this does not amaze me. YMMV, but I might compare it to “Corrina” or “Standing on the Moon.”
Someone did a nice job on the video. I actually prefer the bonus Some Girls cd to the released one; the original is the Mick at Studio 54 album, the bonus is Keith Richard and the Houserockers at your local dive bar.
Be well in this American Hell.
so good. and so young and handsome!
