Three thoughts:
- Glam is great. Prog is wonderful. You can’t fucking mix them.
- The guys in the band who aren’t the two you noticed are named Ian Hampton, Trevor White, and Dinky Diamond, which your editor would make you change for being “too British” if you were writing a satirical novel.
- Hitler.
Hmm, roxy music is obviously glam but I tend to think that the presence of eno on the first two records pushes them toward the center of a glam/prog venn diagram. I love Roxy.
I spent most of an evening on YouTube searching disco German TV and variants of that.
Creedence 71, Quattro 74, sweet every where, and stuff JES would like, and Slade, bto “hey you”
