This is Bob Seger (and his Silver Bullet Band) live at Cobo Hall on 6/15/80.
This is not Bob Seger (or his Silver Bullet Band), but don’t hold that against it.
LISTEN TO THIS SHIT.
TRUST ME.
This is a YouTube-to-MP3 ripper that’s been working well for me, and it’s free. The file gets added to your computer as one big chunk instead of as individual tracks, but I mostly use it for live shows, and you’re supposed to listen to the whole damn thing.
I saw Bob on July 19, 1980 in Cleveland.
The man delivered,
I still like to give a Bob Seger “Mhnnn” when I sing along with Bob
I forget what song he does the most of it, but he has this vocal thing, not quite a “Yeah” not quite a Grhh..
But something in between.
Saw the Bob Seger System (pre-Silver Bullet) at the Expo in Portland Maine on my 13th birthday in 1980. It was my first rock concert of any kind, and it was *L O U D*. Dunno how I got permission to go unaccompanied, but I did. I saw our school’s guidance counselor escorting his unfortunate scion. Bob’s song Ramblin’ Gamblin’ Man was on the local station.
A crap recording of the opener exists: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b0HcAYK7igE&feature=emb_logo&ab_channel=70sheavyrockfan
That’s, er, *1970*, not 1980. I wish I were 10 years younger. Time Sheath anyone?
That’s some good Bob there, thanks! And some good Alto Reed too. He was my favorite Silver Bullet.
I was heartbroken when I found out it wasn’t his real name.
