Sarge Blotto (aka Greg Haymes) was the singer of Blotto and a friend of mine. I curated artsy shows with his wife, and spent a lot of time with him at concerts, reviewing shows for different papers. He died way too sudden and way too young a few months back. Cancer diagnosis, then gone weeks later. Cheese Blotto (bassist) also passed years ago, young young young. Drummer F. Lee Harvey Blotto practiced law with my wife and was a fellow music critic at the newsweekly with me. They all were/are Albany legends. Buck Dharma played stun guitar on their “Metalhead” and that is all the proof one can ask for. More here, and watch the video . . .
