Now here’s a way to spend a proper American Thursday night at home: get yourself some cookies and a garbage bag full of fine marijuana, throw the football game on the big screen, and listen to the heroic Billy and the Kids bringing the jams to the wet and potentially bored folks of the Lock’n Festival.

Football = violence, alcohol, and misogyny. Opposite of the Deads, except for the alcohol, but they never actively promoted it.
Why? Why does anyone watch that shit?
The stream is good though, I’ll agree with Maggie on that.
Agreed. It’s gotten so violent in the past few years (at least to me it has). I remember when they made the Jameis Winston announcements on ESPN for whether or not to bring his case to trial. I watched it unfold live because I was home sick. I was pretty disgusted by it. I hate the way they treat women in the league and the overall morbidity tied to the sport.
We can share the women, we can share the wine
Bearbaiting is frowned upon; I’ll take what I can get.
I am with you Bonnie Lass,
stadiums are for rock shows,
even stupid football players do not deserve brain damage for our entertainment.
As for the stream, I do not hear any guests yet..
They are too tight for Bobby to be up there with a guitar 😉
Killin’ it. I’m enjoying the heck out of this. Billy’s up nice and high in the mix, too.
Thnx for the stream.
They can turn on a dime…
that is the power of one drummer and one billy..
I love Mickey, but man it is hard to turn two drummers around.
Billy and the kids just made a sharp turn in 2 friggin measures
Yeah Yeah Yeah
And everything’s not too slow!
If anything: the Lucy is a little fast.
Tight Lucy more like it.
I see what you did there.

Maybe it’s beating a dead horse, but whoever’s playing guitar for Billy is doing a much better job than John Mayer will do.

He is. Not totally sold on the white guy soul vocals, but he’s a player.
Grateful Dead Channel played one of the Chicago shows on Sunday night………I prefer this by a wide margin. Thanks again
Yeah, I mean: my tolerance for jam bands is low, but this is just good ol’ dance music.
Agreed on the singing style, but his pitch is pretty good, which is always a little shocking in a Dead(ish) context.
Plus he knows all the words, as opposed to “most”.
Exactly
