Please. I tried. I looked. I googled. Nothing. Someone explain why Keith Richards is playing bass in tandem with Bill Wyman. Were they covering Big Bottom? Because if they were, then the Rolling Stones are in possession of Time Sheath technology, being that this photo is from either their ’75 tour of America, or the ’76 European run. (Ollie Brown, the guy in the back with the giant afro, only joined the touring Stones for two years.) What the fuck is this bullshit?
And it’s not a soundcheck fuck-around one-off, either:

I repeat: What the fuck is this bullshit?
My guess would be sympathy for the Devil, I think Keith plays bass on the album.
Regardless, here he is playing bass on yer blues with Lennon

Yeah, there a several Youtube videos that specifically state that Keef is playing bass on Sympathy, e.g.

Question is why he didn’t send Wyman offstage for a smoke or a tugger or sommat . . .
Could be a Sympathy for the Devil which Keith most definitely plays on the studio cut. I am hoping it is for a killer version of I Just Wanna See His Face which Keith also plays bass .Could be he was showing Bill how to play Live with Me which Keith also plays bass on. Might be a version of Street Fighting Man with Keith giving another lesson to Bill. Here is a version of Sympathy for the Devil from MSG on the 75 US Tour that allegedly has Keith on bass with Clapton on guitar. It is audio only, but about the same time as your posted photo.

Remember Keith plays bass in The Dirty Mac for the Rock and Roll Circus

Clapton and Santana joined them for “Sympathy” either separately or together (that remains up for debate) over the MSG run in ’75 and Keith played bass. It must’ve been a complete mess.
A way to sneak another Bean into the blog?
I didn’t think I was being very sneaky.
Subtle then?
Dude, I put the “b” in subtle.
